Protein PAstry Puffs

If you find yourself with extra pie crust this holiday seasoning give this 10 min recipe a try.

The perfect way to keep the holiday sweets rolling in, but make it a protein snack. Made with only 4 ingredients these are super easy to whip up when you’re feeling something flaky, warm, and sweet!

Prep time: 10 mins

Makes: 12 pastries

Ingredients

  • 1 package pie crust

  • 6 servings of Vanilla Protein Powder

  • 2 tbsp sugar free or regular Preserves of choice ( I used Blackberry)

  • 1 cup fruit of choice ( I used blueberries)

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven according to pie crust instructions

  • Mix together in Kitchen Aid Mixer or Handheld mixer protein powder, fruit and jam

  • Roll dough out with rolling pin- you want it slightly thinner then out of package

  • With a circle cutter from my pastry kit I cut the dough into 12 circles

  • Spray the bottom of your cupcake pan

  • Gently pat one pastry circle into each cupcake tin

  • fill with berry protein mix

  • bake until pastry is light brown- about 10-12 min

  • Store in airtight container in the fridge for as many days as they will last for

  • Heat up in toaster next day or eat em cold!
