GET OFF THE SCALE
Annoyed with the scale?
Aren’t we all. It is so easy to hope on the scale every day and be like “wtf nothing is happening, or I’ve gained two pounds, greatttttttt.” The good news is, we're going to talk about some other markers you may be overlooking.
You’ve replaced the majority of the processed junk food you were eating before with real, whole food. You take your time when you eat, being mindful of every bite.
Energy is up! You’re not constantly hitting the snooze button, trying to buy more sleep. You’re not reaching for that late afternoon coffee to give you an energy boost. Instead you wake up on time, maybe even before your alarm (wild, i know). You find yourself being more active around the house, with the kids and less time is spent on the couch watching tv.
You’re sleeping better! The nights of constantly tossing and turning are a thing of the past! You’re shutting down an hour or so before bed and falling asleep with ease. You don’t crash mid- day and reach for that normal caffeine fix. With better sleep comes better...life, in more ways than one.
Your clothes have begun to be looser. Those jeans you jammed in the back of your closet now fit, that shirt that was a little snug now flows freely. Lean muscle tissue takes up less space than fat does, so although weight may remain the same or sometimes even increase, things like our close can in fact begin to feel loose.
You’re in a B E T T E R mood. Your brain and bodies are being supplied with the nutrients they need to operate, and you’ve succeeded at some pretty great things ie. — setting clear goals, confidence, making better choices, change is possible.
You’re stronger and you have more endurance. Workouts aren’t leaving you crawling around for days afterward. You’ve started to increase the weight you’re using in workouts. Or you find yourself asking for more, a bonus 75 burpees? No problem, bring it on! You feel good, you feel strong and you’re ready to take on the world.
This feels like a lifestyle, not a diet. The importance of developing new habits over time, and reminding yourself it’s okay to eat that ice cream cone or that piece of pizza. That’s a healthy, sustainable way to live and enjoy your life. You’ve finally realized you don’t need to punish yourself afterwards. I can have my cake and eat it so to speak because the majority of my life is filled up with whole foods. Everyone is different and there is no one size fits all. What works for me won't necessarily work for you. Together we will navigate and find the tools you need to succeed and change your life forever.
