2 Ingredient Doughnuts

Not that I need a holiday to celebrate my love of doughnuts, but Friday is National Doughnut Day so here we are!

This recipe only requires a few ingredients and it is super easy to make.

Satisfy that sweet tooth with some doughnuts that deliver sweetness and…protein =)

Recipe Makes approximately 8 doughnuts or a combo of doughnuts and munckhins

Macros per doughnut : 77 Calories 1 g fat | 12.3 g carbs | 4.3 g protein per doughnut without toppings

**Macros will change dependent on yogurt and toppings used

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of flour

  • 1 serving of plain greek yogurt of choice

  • 1.5 tsp of baking powder

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • pinch of salt




How to make doughnuts

Instructions:

  1. Mix together all ingredients.

  2. Once dough ball starts to form roll out into log and divides into 8 semi equal parts

  3. Spray air fryer and place doughnuts in.

  4. Cook on 325-350 for about 4 mins, flip and cook for another 3-5 mins depending on air fryer.

  5. Toss in your favorite toppings- I did cinnamon sugar, strawberry cream cheese, and chocolate glaze with sprinkles.

Glazes:

  1. Chocolate- melt chocolate chips and about a tsp of coconut oil together- dunk and immediately sprinkle.

  2. Cinnamon Sugar- Melt butter in one bowl and combine cinnamon and sugar in another. Dunk or toss munchkin in the butter and immediately roll in the cinnamon sugar.

  3. Strawberry Cream Cheese- Blend together 2 tbsp Neufchatel or 1/3 fat cream cheese, 2 large strawberries and a sprinkle of powdered sugar or sugar substitute- blend on low briefly and spread onto your doughnut- add sprinkles or keep it plain =)
